Quantum physics links inner change to external shifts via a core belief cycle of emotions, thoughts, beliefs, and actions shaping identity. Rooted stories from family and culture often obscure individual authenticity, causing challenges like depression, anxiety, or burnout. Metabiofeedback therapy uses sensors to detect stressors in emotions and beliefs, facilitating inner balance and transformation over months. Over 22,000 hours and dozens of client successes in Estonia attest to improvements in confidence, emotional regulation, and life satisfaction without medical diagnoses.
"If you change something inside, the outside world will change."

'Reset your inner compass': The therapy mapping our emotional landscapes
Biofeedback specialist reveals how internal beliefs shape our external reality at HOLOLIFE Summit
At the cutting-edge HOLOLIFE Summit in Tallinn last weekend, therapist Veronika Allas challenged conventional approaches to mental wellness with her exploration of metabiofeedback therapy – a practice that purports to detect and balance emotional stressors through sensor technology.
"The outside world is a 100% reflection of your inner world," Allas told a captivated audience at the event's second day. "If you change something inside, something will change outside."
The stories we inherit
Central to Allas's presentation was the concept that humans unconsciously "download" stories from their environment that shape their identity – often inherited from family and cultural backgrounds rather than representing authentic individual truth.
"When we are born, we are completely perfect," she explained. "But our environment, our country, and our parents shape our identity. Have you ever asked – is this identity really yours, or is it someone else's?"
These downloaded narratives, according to Allas, can manifest as limiting beliefs that contribute to anxiety, depression, and burnout – conditions that have reached epidemic proportions across Europe.
The cycle of belief
Drawing on principles that blend quantum physics with psychological theory, Allas outlined what she calls the "core belief cycle" – a continuous loop where emotions create thoughts, thoughts create beliefs, beliefs create actions, and actions return to influence emotions.
"This is the core system that creates our lives," she said, suggesting that disruptions in this cycle can lead to mental health challenges and limited life satisfaction.
The MER Biofeedback® therapist, who has practiced for nearly three years following her own journey through depression, described how the technology works: sensors detect electrical signals from the body that reportedly correspond to emotional stressors, allowing practitioners to identify and "balance" up to 18 different stressors in a typical session.
From renovation to transformation
Rather than suggesting these ingrained patterns can be instantly erased, Allas employed the metaphor of home renovation to describe the therapeutic process.
"We cannot erase our past, our experiences, or stories. But what we can do is renovate ourselves," she said. "Renovation is a beautiful journey – taking yourself piece by piece, seeing which stories to keep and which to let go."
During her talk, Allas shared six case studies from her practice in Estonia, where the therapy has reportedly gained significant traction. These included individuals overcoming grief, anxiety, burnout, and depression – though Allas was careful to note that the therapy does not diagnose medical conditions.
Growing interest in biofeedback approaches
The presentation comes amid increasing interest in technology-assisted approaches to mental wellbeing across Europe. Estonia, already known for its digital innovation, has become something of a testing ground for these emerging wellness technologies.
Allas's company has conducted over 22,000 therapy hours in Estonia and is now expanding to the United Kingdom, reflecting growing demand for alternative approaches to emotional regulation and self-awareness.
While conventional medical practitioners may question aspects of metabiofeedback's theoretical underpinnings, many attendees at the HOLOLIFE Summit appeared intrigued by its potential applications.
"Knowledge alone is not enough; practical work is essential to create meaningful change," Allas emphasized, suggesting that internal awareness must be paired with actionable steps toward transformation.
As mental health challenges continue to rise across Europe, approaches that empower individuals to understand and reshape their inner narratives may represent an important complement to traditional therapeutic models – though experts caution that serious conditions still require appropriate medical intervention.
The three-day HOLOLIFE Summit continues through Sunday in Tallinn, featuring speakers from across the spectrum of health innovation and personal development.
