Other pillars included **basic care**, **disease prevention**, **self-testing**, **supplementation**, **functional medicine**, and **early detection** through imaging and specialised screening. The self-testing element reflected the wider quantified self movement, with tools such as continuous glucose monitoring and direct-to-consumer genetic testing offering individuals more data about their own physiology.
One of the more provocative sections concerned **“advanced action”**, where Greve discussed the possible role of off-label interventions such as **metformin**, a diabetes drug that has attracted interest for its potential to reduce cancer risk and slow aspects of aging.
What emerged was a model of longevity not as a miracle pill but as a disciplined, layered system: diet, movement, diagnostics, prevention, environment, psychology, and selective therapeutics.
A Personal Quest Turned Public Project
Greve’s authority on stage drew partly from biography. He spoke not as a conventional academic but as an entrepreneur who had undergone his own reckoning with health. Greve said a full-time team was being assembled to build and continuously refine the longevity knowledge base, including a product manager and research specialists tasked with gathering and synthesising the best available evidence.
This detail mattered. It suggested that Forever Healthy was trying to professionalise what had often been a scattered and personality-driven world of life extension advocacy.
The Democratic Promise And The Uneasy Burden Of Longevity
There was an unmistakably democratic note in Greve’s pitch. The strategy, he said, would be freely shared. The knowledge would be open. The point was to make it easier for ordinary people to take control of their health rather than leaving advanced longevity practices to elites with private doctors and private capital.
