Activating the quantum heart: how ancient intelligence can transform modern wellbeing
Scientists and spiritual practitioners converge on the power of the electromagnetic field emanating from our most vital organ
At the Heal Play Love Festival in Kemptthal, Switzerland, heart intelligence expert Leyla Salvadé guided participants through a transformative meditation designed to activate what she calls the body's most powerful electromagnetic field. The Saturday afternoon session combined cutting-edge research on cardiac neuroscience with ancient practices of energetic alignment, offering attendees a practical framework for emotional processing and collective healing.
The heart as a second brain
Salvadé opened her presentation by challenging conventional assumptions about human intelligence. "Your heart is made up of forty thousand to one hundred thousand sensory neurites," she explained to the assembled crowd. "What this means is your heart has its own brain."
This biological reality, she argued, contradicts the dominant educational and cultural paradigm that privileges logical thinking above all else. The head brain, whilst powerful, operates primarily in dualism, constantly judging and assessing in ways that can fragment our experience. Meanwhile, the heart brain processes intuition, and the gut brain handles instinct. Modern society's failure to train all three systems in harmony, Salvadé suggested, lies at the root of widespread disconnection and disease.
"We have come into an era, into a time where we need to start training a higher intelligence, a higher human operating system," she told participants. "That's the intelligence of the heart."
The electromagnetic field and human connection
Central to Salvadé's methodology is the concept that every human being generates a powerful electromagnetic field centred in the heart. This field, shaped like a torus, extends outward from the body and is continuously informed by thoughts and emotions. In a room of two hundred people, she noted, two hundred distinct energetic fields were simultaneously broadcasting and receiving information.
"If your thoughts are electric and your emotions are magnetic, that's what informs this electromagnetic field," Salvadé explained. "Right now, every single one of you is emitting a powerful electromagnetic field emanating from your heart."
This understanding bridges multiple disciplines. What some call magic, others term quantum physics or biology. Regardless of terminology, the underlying principle remains consistent: humans are fundamentally energetic beings, connected through invisible but measurable fields.
The practical implications are significant. If our electromagnetic fields communicate continuously, the quality of what we broadcast matters profoundly. Salvadé challenged participants to assess their current transmission: were they emitting higher vibrational energies like joy and peace, or lower frequencies associated with shame, judgment, and fear?
The Kora method: from theory to practice
Following her introduction to the science, Salvadé guided the group through an active meditation she has developed called the Kora Method. Unlike passive meditations performed whilst seated, this practice required participants to stand, asserting conscious command over their bodies and energy fields.
The meditation began with bringing awareness to the heart, visualising breath flowing in and out from this centre rather than the lungs. Participants were then guided to move their conscious awareness—imagined as a pearl of light—from the third eye down the spine and into the heart itself.
"Imagine your heart as a sanctuary," Salvadé instructed. "Your heart is the most powerful intelligence system in your body. This is your command center—your cockpit."
Rooting and channeling: earth and sun connection
The practice deepened as Salvadé led participants to establish energetic connections both below and above. First, visualising roots or cords of light extending from the heart down through the earth's layers to its molten core, participants were invited to bow in gratitude to Mother Earth before anchoring into her centre.
"Thank Mother Earth for being our home, for giving us everything we need," Salvadé said. Once connected, participants drew unconditional love from the earth's core up into their hearts through intentional breathwork.
The process then extended upward, with cords of light channeling from the heart through the crown and atmosphere toward the sun. After pausing in reverence at the solar threshold, participants anchored into what Salvadé called Father Sun's innermost core, drawing divine light downward to unite with the earthly love already filling the heart.
This dual connection—rooted below in unconditional love, illuminated above by divine light—created what Salvadé described as a fully activated toroidal field pulsing through and around each participant's body.
Processing emotions through the activated field
With the energetic circuit established, Salvadé introduced a practical application: emotional processing. She invited participants to recall something that had recently caused their hearts to contract, then to consciously channel that emotion through the activated system, releasing it down through the earth connection.
"Emotions are energy in motion," she reminded the group. "Holding onto lower emotions contracts your field and lowers immunity."
This sustainable method for processing difficult feelings offered an alternative to suppression or explosive expression. By moving emotional energy through a grounded, connected system, participants could release what no longer served them whilst maintaining equilibrium and expanding their capacity for higher vibrational states.
Commanding the electromagnetic field
Following the release work, Salvadé guided participants to consciously interact with their electromagnetic fields. Rubbing their hands together to generate charge, they were instructed to blast their hands apart on the count of three, accompanied by sound, physically feeling the activation of their fields through tingling sensations.
"You are now the commander of your electromagnetic field," Salvadé declared. "From your heart, your cockpit, open the eye of your heart and notice your field."
Participants moved their hands intuitively around their bodies, blessing and loving their fields, turning themselves on to conscious communion with the energy that surrounds and permeates them. This field, Salvadé explained, serves as a natural protection shield and a medium for broadcasting whatever vibration one chooses to emit.
Collective activation and global broadcasting
The session culminated in a collective practice. Participants joined hands, merging their individual electromagnetic fields into a unified group field. Together, they broadcast waves of love and healing—first to one another, then to the broader Heal Play Love Festival gathering, and finally to the collective electromagnetic field of the earth itself.
"Visualise every living being thriving," Salvadé guided. "Broadcast that into the toroidal field and to Mother Earth's collective field."
In a final powerful activation, the group sent what Salvadé described as a "supernova of love" from their hearts outward, hands squeezed together, sound erupting, visualising this wave of coherent energy rippling across the valley and beyond.
Ancient wisdom meets modern science
Salvadé's work represents a growing movement to integrate indigenous and contemplative wisdom traditions with contemporary research in cardiology, neuroscience, and bioelectromagnetics. Her credentials span both worlds: certified as a coherence and resilience trainer through the Institute of HeartMath in California, trained in meditation at Plum Village monastery under Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh, and qualified as a holistic health coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York.
This multicultural synthesis reflects her own background—Middle Eastern, Swiss, and South American heritage combined with experience living across continents from Phoenix to London to Zurich. Currently working as a heartfulness therapist at an exclusive Swiss clinic serving ultra high net worth individuals, Salvadé has also brought her methods to organizations including Mindvalley, Six Senses Kaplankaya, Tesla, and Vifor.
Through her company Standing Light, she offers coaching and training designed to reduce stress, anxiety, depression, and overwhelm whilst building resilience and self-empowerment. Her approach addresses what she sees as a fundamental crisis in modern consciousness: the disconnection from heart intelligence that begins in childhood and is reinforced by educational systems and cultural programming.
Choosing love over fear in every moment
As the session concluded, participants embraced one another in a massive group hug, many visibly moved by the experience. Salvadé remained available for questions, her message both simple and profound: in every moment, we have a choice about what charges our internal battery.
"You are a divine natural battery," she told the group. "What do you want to be charged up by? Love or fear? You have a choice in every given moment to choose love over fear."
This invitation to conscious choice, grounded in bodily awareness and energetic literacy, offers a counterbalance to the passive consumption and reactivity that characterise much of contemporary life. Whether framed in spiritual, scientific, or practical terms, Salvadé's work points toward the same essential truth: the world we desire begins in each human heart, and training the intelligence of that heart may be the higher operating system humanity needs most urgently.
For those interested in continuing this practice, Salvadé offers online workshops and resources through Standing Light. But the fundamental technique she shared in Kemptthal requires no special equipment or credentials—only the willingness to drop awareness from head to heart, to root below and reach above, and to consciously broadcast the vibration we wish to see reflected in the world around us.
